Ben Schreckinger is a national political correspondent at POLITICO and the author of The Bidens: Inside the First Family’s Fifty-Year Rise to Power. Before that, he served as GQ's Washington correspondent, worked as a staff writer at POLITICO Magazine and covered the rise of Donald Trump as a campaign reporter for POLITICO. He has also written on politics, economics, culture and their intersections for Slate, Newsweek, the Atlantic, the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and the Financial Times, among others, from Boston, Ireland and Burma. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, where he studied classics, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and served as editor-in-chief and president of the Brown Daily Herald Inc. He was the co-recipient of a 2021 National Headliner Award for Best Magazine Column.
