Ben Schreckinger is GQ's correspondent in Washington. Prior to joining GQ, he worked as a staff writer at POLITICO Magazine and covered the rise of Donald Trump as a campaign reporter for POLITICO. Before that, he wrote on politics, economics, culture and their intersections for Slate, Newsweek, the Atlantic, the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and the Financial Times, among others, from Boston, Ireland and Burma. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, where he studied classics, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and served as editor-in-chief and president of the Brown Daily Herald Inc. He was the recipient of the 2011 Robert Novak Collegiate Journalism Award.
